I am a trained and registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) Registration Number 25941, dedicated to supporting others on their journey using evidence-based skills developed during my Masters in Counselling and enriched by my diverse professional experiences across various organizations in Australia. Coming from an overseas background, I am fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, and English, which equips me not only with multilingual communication skills but also a deep understanding of diverse cultures. This cultural awareness allows me to recognize that, despite differences in language, race, or gender, our challenges often stem from common human experiences. With a background in medical knowledge and experience working in high-pressure environments, I have a unique ability to understand the complexities of stress and the daily challenges we all face. I provide a non-judgemental, compassionate, and confidential space where you can freely explore your concerns, knowing you’ll be met with empathy and support.

Approaches used in Counselling

Mindfulness, and a compassionate framework, tailored to address your unique concerns. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting issues, grief and loss, bereavement, fears, children's concerns or navigating a new path in life, I adapt these techniques to suit your needs. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Therapy (MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Trauma-based CBT, and Narrative Therapy are some of the therapies used in my Counselling service. Often, these therapies work best when combined, enhancing the effectiveness of the process. My cultural diversity and many years of corporate experience in Australia allow me to understand and discuss with you your challenges and provide safe space and confidentiality. Strength and a person-centred perspective are the main focus to reach your healing horizon.

While the names of these approaches might seem unfamiliar, I take the time to explain them clearly, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable with the journey we undertake together. My core values are compassion, trust, and non-judgment, and my role is to stand alongside you, supporting your healing journey. Together, we can build clarity, stability, and hope, creating a strong foundation for a brighter and more fulfilling future.
